DELL Precision 7875 Tower Workstation PC
Classification:
The Dell Precision 7875 is quiet, expandable, and tops the performance charts, even compared with other workstations using the same 96-core AMD Threadripper CPU—all in a reasonable and versatile tower chassis. It's expensive, but the cost/benefit relationship is clear.

![]() | On the storage side, the Precision 7875 handles up to 56TB of capacity in the form of multiple 4TB (max) PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 modules and SATA/SAS-based storage. If those drives aren't fast enough or you need redundancy, you can RAID the system or even add a RAID card, and the system supports RAID 0/1/5/10 modes. For graphics, you have no choice but to add one, as the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro chips don't have an integrated GPU. On the low end are AMD Radeon Pro models (W6300, W6400, W7500, and W7600, with up to 8GB of GDDR6). But the real power of this chassis comes from the Nvidia camp, where you can choose from the base T400 up to dual Nvidia RTX A6000s with double the GDDR6 RAM, a staggering 48GB (although they run at only two-thirds the speed). However, to master those demanding, GPU-intensive workflows, you’ll need to spend more than $12,000.
Powering the power-hungry components is a 1,000W power supply, more than enough to power a single processor and graphics card, or the 1,350W power supply used in most dual-GPU configurations. Efficiency isn't listed, but I'd expect these power supplies to be rated 80 Plus Gold or higher. | ![]()
