The NF8260G7 Intel-based system is a 2U4S rack-mounted server with a fourth-generation Intel® Xeon® scalable processor. It provides high computing performance and large memory capacity for customers with intensive storage and density needs. The server applies to high-density scenarios such as virtualization, database, and SAP HANA.


Features


High-Density Computing and High Efficiency

The server is equipped with two or four fourth-generation Intel Xeon ® scalable processors in 2U space, supporting up to 60 cores and 120 threads per CPU, TDP up to 350W, and three UPI links up to 16GT/s per CPU. The cost performance in virtualization scenarios is greatly improved.

Supports 64 DDR5 ECC DIMMs (4800MT/s, RDIMMs), providing high speed, high availability, and up to 16TB memory capacity.

The all-flash configuration of 24 NVMe SSDS provides ten times more IOPS than high-end enterprise-class SATA SSDS, and significantly improves storage performance.

 

Flexible Configuration and Ultimate Scalability

Supports multiple flexible disk configuration schemes to provide flexible and scalable storage capacity to meet different storage capacity requirements and upgrade requirements. Supports a maximum of 24 front-facing 2.5-inch SAS/SATA/NVMe disks, 21 front-facing 2.5-inch SAS/SATA disks, four front-facing 2.5-inch SAS/SATA/NVMe disks, and eight on-board directly connected SATA disks. Supports two internal M.2 SSDS and two rear 7mm hard disks.

Supports four PCIe expansion slots on board and five PCIe expansion slots through a conversion card, and supports two dual-slot Gpus or four single-slot Gpus.

Supports two hot-swappable OCP 3.0 slots, and supports 1/10/25/100/200Gb OCP 3.0 cards (multiple hosts). The OCP 3.0 card can be connected to four cpus at the same time, improving performance by 20%.

The front I/O design enables O&M personnel to operate in cold aisles, simplifying O&M operations, prolonging the life cycle of thermal components such as optical modules and intelligent network interfaces (Inics), and improving data stability.

 

Security, Reliability and Simplified O&M

Supports hot-swappable SAS, SATA, or NVMe disks, RAID cache, and supercapacitor power-off data protection. Depending on the RAID card, SAS or SATA disks can be configured as RAID 0/1/1E, 10/5/50/6/60.

The firmware code and core data can be restored, and core components such as BIOS and BMC are redundant. This ensures that the standby flash memory is switched to boot when the system fails. The BMC can be upgraded online without service interruption.

Memory error correction isolation mechanism to detect and mask faulty memory units before system startup, preventing potential operational problems. In addition, when the system is running, the memory status can be monitored in real time, and faulty memory units can be discovered and isolated in time to ensure the stable running of the system.

UID and status leds, Bluetooth LCD modules, and ISBMC Web GUI on the front panel for troubleshooting indicate the status of critical components and quickly guide engineers to components that are failing (or are failing), simplifying maintenance, speeding troubleshooting, and improving system availability. ​​

Provides 2 hot-swappable Psus with 1+1 redundancy. Provides six hot-swappable fan modules with N+1 redundancy to improve overall system availability.

 

High Efficiency, Carbon Emission Reduction, and Low Power Consumption

Low-voltage, fourth-generation Intel ® Xeon ® Scalable Processors (Sapphire Rapids) consume less power to meet the needs of power - and heat-constrained data center and telecommunications environments.

The fully optimized thermal design, including energy efficient cooling fans, supports proportional Integral-differential (PID) intelligent fan speed control and CPU frequency regulation to save energy.

Equipped with 80 Plus platinum/titanium power supplies of different energy efficiency levels, the power efficiency is up to 96% at 50% load.
